Join the #SSPBoston regional group and everybody’s favorite AI chatbot as we host a panel discussion bringing together experts in the field to cover the latest advancements in technology and their impacts on academic publishing. The panel will explore ways in which technology is changing how research is conducted, published, and disseminated, and how these changes are likely to shape the future of scholarly communication.
You will hear a wide range of topics that might include artificial intelligence and machine learning, blockchain technology, open access publishing, and the use of big data. The panelists will also touch on inherent challenges, such as issues of data privacy, intellectual property rights, and the potential for bias and discrimination in algorithmic decision-making. Overall, this discussion will be an opportunity for scholars, publishers, and other stakeholders to come together to explore the exciting possibilities and potential pitfalls of emerging technologies in scholarly publishing.
