SSP Regional Event in Washington, DC
Tuesday, April 9, 2019
3:00 – 5:00 pm
Plan S Part 2, The Roundtables: Discussing an Open Future
Can’t wait to discuss Plan U and preprint servers? Eager to chat about open science, consider when to flip journals, or debate whether hybrid journals are a thing of the past? Then join us for a new SSP DC Regional event from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 9 at the American Chemical Society.
Whether you were unable to attend our January event on OA or you simply can’t get enough of Plan S, we’ll all have another chance to discuss what we can (and cannot) do in this time of funder mandates.
The format of this event will be roundtable discussions in which participants can talk about real solutions and ideas to help scholarly societies, researchers, and publishers navigate these uncharted waters. Come prepared to share your questions, opinions, solutions, and ideas with the community!
Attendees will gather nearby for a no-host happy hour at at Bar-cöde (1101 17th Street NW) following the event.
