Generations Fund Happy Hour

5:30 pm – 7:00 pm 

You are invited to join us the evening prior to the New Directions Seminar for an event to benefit SSP's Generation Fund. To be held on AGU's Rooftop Terrace on September 20 from 5:30–7:00 pm, the gathering will feature food, beverages, and entertainment.

Registration:

$50 for attendees not registered for New Directions 

If you are planning to attend New Directions, register to attend the Happy Hour as an additional program item on your registration for $40.

Be sure to complete your registration by proceeding to checkout and submitting your order. You will receive a confirmation email. 

 

Waiver:

By registering, attendees acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other infectious diseases exists in any public place where people are present. By attending the event, I and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 or other infectious diseases and agree not to hold the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP); or any of their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, or volunteers liable for any illness or injury.

I agree to abide by and engage in conduct that is beneficial to health and safety while attending the event. This includes all required safety procedures from SSP, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the state, city, and venue where the event is being held, and includes but is not limited to wearing a mask in public places, being fully vaccinated, and engaging in appropriate social distancing.

I agree I will not attend the event if I have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the event; or if I believe that I may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19; or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by the health care team responsible for my treatment. I agree to contact SSP at [email protected] if I experience symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after attending the event.

Cancellation Policy: 

No refunds will be processed for this event. SSP encourages you to send a substitute in your place if you cannot attend. In the event SSP needs to cancel an event we will apply your registration to the next applicable event. SSP reserves the right to cancel any program. In the unlikely event of cancellations, SSP is not responsible for any costs, damages, or other expenses of any kind, including and without limitation, transportation and/or hotel costs incurred by registrant. Speakers are subject to change without notice.
