Registration is now open for the 2025 SSP Journals Academy! Don't miss this chance to learn about the fundamentals, current challenges, and emerging opportunities in scholarly journals publishing.
This virtual course, held over three sessions, will provide an overview of the many different components to scholarly journals publishing. This is the third consecutive year for the Journals Academy. One hundred and thirty individuals at all stages of their careers and from a variety of organizations attended previous Academies.
While this program is designed for early to mid-career publishing staff who wish to broaden their knowledge beyond their current job responsibilities, experienced professionals looking for a refresher or who wish to keep current with best practices are also welcome to attend.
The program covers both publishing fundamentals and current industry challenges, giving participants a complete picture of how journals operate. This comprehensive understanding will help attendees solve problems more effectively, build stronger cross-functional relationships, and recognize potential new career opportunities in a changing field.
Upon completion of the course, attendees will be issued a digital badge that they can share with their networks or on their LinkedIn profile.
The SSP Journals Academy is developed by SSP’s Training Committee. Instructors will be experienced in their fields and will represent commercial and society publishers and service providers.
