SSP Regional Event in Washington, DC
Thursday, October 28, 2021
3:00-4:30 pm ET
Capacity is limited, so please register in advance. (Please let us know if you need to cancel at any time after registering, as it will free a space for another attendee.)
Join the DC regional group on Thursday, October 28 for an in-person networking event on getting back to work. This conversation is a follow-up to our June presentation, “Re-Imagining the Post-Pandemic Workforce.” We will host roundtables on the rooftop of the American Geophysical Union's (AGU) NetZero Energy building to discuss how we are getting back to work, conducting virtual and in-person meetings, building professional relationships virtually and in person, and much more.
An optional building tour will also be offered at 4:30pm. Optional informal happy hour to follow at 4:45 pm at Mission DC (Dupont Circle North, 1606 20th St NW, Washington, DC 20009). We have the patio reserved and inside space if the weather is uncooperative. We encourage those who are interested and comfortable to attend the happy hour even if you were unable to attend the event at AGU.
The event is free to attend, but you must register in advance, as capacity is limited.
Please read carefully before registering:
- AGU will do a temperature check and require attendees to show proof of vaccination for entry to the event. Please bring your vaccination card and your ID to the event.
- Masks will be required regardless of vaccination status if local health agencies recommend them or if the venue requires them.
- Stay at home if you feel sick at all on the day of the event or have recently been exposed to someone that is sick
- Check here for CDC guidance on COVID-19: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/gatherings.html
