Networking Happy Hour after GW Ethics Conference

Please join George Washington University’s Ethics in Publishing conference attendees and SSP-DC Regional Committee for a post-conference discussion of all-things scholarly publishing. See old and make new colleague-friends.

You do not necessarily need to attend the conference to join your fellow industry professionals for the social hour. 

Friday, October 14, 5:15 pm at Proper 21 K St (2033 K Street NW, Washington DC). Please note the K St. location. 

There is no registration fee for this event, but please sign up so that we can get a headcount for the venue. 

Please read carefully before registering:

  • We highly recommend that you attend only if you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Stay at home if you feel sick at all on the day of the event or have recently been exposed to someone that is sick

Waiver

By registering, I acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other infectious diseases exists in any public place where people are present. By attending the event, I and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 or other infectious diseases and agree not to hold the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP); or any of their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, or volunteers liable for any illness or injury. 

I agree to abide by and engage in conduct that is beneficial to health and safety while attending the event. This includes all recommendations and safety procedures from my governing health body as well as the state or country, city, and venue where the event is being held, and may include but is not limited to wearing a mask in public places and engaging in appropriate social distancing.

I agree I will not attend the event if I have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the event; or if I believe that I may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19; or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by the health care team responsible for my treatment. I agree to contact SSP at [email protected] if I experience symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after attending the event.
