2024 Virtual 5K | Generations Fund

SSP is hosting our third annual Virtual 5k Run, Walk, and Roll to benefit the Generations Fund. This inclusive event encourages you to complete a 5k course where you are, however you can. Every registrant will receive an official race t-shirt. And, thanks to our amazing sponsors, 100% of your $35 registration fee will benefit the SSP's Generation Fund—our effort to permanently endow workforce development and DEAI programs that enhance the future of scholarly communications. You will also be recognized on the Generations Fund supporters list.

Register by May 15th to receive a t-shirt before our official race day of June 8, and share your participation on social media using the hashtags #SSP5k.

Be sure to provide your shirt size and home address below! 

 

Terms and Conditions

By participating in the Generations Fund Virtual 5K, you voluntarily assume and accept any and all risks of injury to yourself, minor children of which you are a parent/guardian who are participating or any other person that may result from your participation, regardless of how such injury may arise and regardless of who is at fault or negligent. I agree to release the Society for Scholarly Publishing and its affiliates, and their respective partners, officers, directors, and employees from liability of any type arising from my participation. I also grant to the Society for Scholarly Publishing permission to use my image, likeness and/or voice in any photograph and/or video recording. Such usage may include, but is not limited to internet and print advertising and promotion. We encourage participants to consult their physician and follow all safety instructions before participating. About the Generations Fund 

Through the Generations Fund,  We are making a commitment, to foster future generations of diverse and robust scholarly communication professionals. Created as an endowment to fund our Fellowship, Mentoring, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programs through its annual earnings, the Generations Fund demonstrates the power of philanthropy to effect change.
